Shaikh Ebrahim Centre for Culture and Research hosts a cultural and artistic lecture featuring Hana Chidiac, Director of African and Middle Eastern Acquisitions Department at the Quai Branly Museum, Egyptian professor Shahira Mehrez, a researcher in architecture and traditional arts, and Iraqi professor Laila Beyo, a specialist in the study of textiles. The theme of this lecture revolves around the art of weaving in production of traditional costumes and what these items of clothing reflect in terms of heritage, history and customs of their respective countries, as well as being a source of strengthening national identity for individual Arab countries.

The center widened its embrace of more friends and lovers of culture through the renovation of a new auditorium. This cultural space was founded and inaugurated and with the generous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and designed by international architect David Chiaverini of the PAD firm.
