The event is finished.

Lee Myung-bak served as South Korea’s 10th president between 2008 and 2013. He is known for his strong character and support of constructive dialogue to resolve disputes between the warring nations. He also changed South Korea’s and Japan’s policy toward North Korea, preferring a tougher policy in the wake of growing North Korean provocations. During his term in office, South Korea boosted its influence on the world stage, as evidenced by it hosting the G20 Summit in 2010.
