She served as the Ambassador of France to the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2004. Upon assuming office, she focused on promoting bilateral cultural relations between the Bahrain and France and made notable contributions in the cultural and artistic movement. Barak previously served as cultural attaché at the French Consulate in Jerusalem, and also served as a Middle East Adviser at the French Foreign Ministry and Director of Institutional Cooperation at the General Directorate of International Cooperation and Development. She was also part of diplomatic missions to several Arab countries, including Syria and Egypt.
