A leading scientist at the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN). He received his PhD in theoretical particle physics from University of Cambridge (UK) and he was awarded the Maxwell medal and the Paul Dirac Award in physics. He was elected as a member of the Royal Society of Physics and as a member of the Institute of World Physics .He has worked at CERN since 1978 and held the position of Headt of the Department of Theoretical Physics for two terms, he also served as a commander at division of theoretical physics, in addition to other intensive scientific activities. He was also the scientific adviser of CERN.
The center widened its embrace of more friends and lovers of culture through the renovation of a new auditorium. This cultural space was founded and inaugurated and with the generous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and designed by international architect David Chiaverini of the PAD firm.
