An Egyptian writer, journalist, poet and translator, and UN Humanitarian Ambassador for the Arts, Fatima Naoot graduated with a degree in architecture from Ain Shams University and has published 31 books to date in a wide range of topics, including poetry, translation, literary and cultural criticism, and intellectualism. In addition to writing several weekly columns and articles for Egyptian and Arab newspapers and magazines, she represented Egypt in international translation workshops and festivals featuring elite poets and translators. Over her career, Naoot won several international literary awards, including 1st place in the 2006 Poetry Prize in Hong Kong, and the 2014 Gibran International Prize in Sydney, Australia.

When his soul left his body and this world, he left a house for poetry, a place for his things, and walls where the poetry he loved would remain. The Bahraini poet Ibrahim Al Arrayed, and all those who (followed) him in his literary journey and translated works, were retained by the Sheikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research in his city which he belonged, Manama. For it was the house of fame, as the first among the homes of cultural centers outside the city of Muharraq.
