Samir Attallah is a Lebanese writer who worked as a correspondent for Al-Nahar newspaper in Europe and the United Nations. He served as editor-in-chief of the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa and as editor of Al-Sayyad magazine in London and Arab Week in Beirut. Atallah is known for his style which mixes politics with literature and culture with the news event. He has been writing a daily column in Al-Sharq Al-Aswat newspaper since 1987. His talk at the Shaikh Ebrahim Center centers on the question “Do Arabs deserve their friends?” Atallah has written 10 books, including history, novels and travel.
