An Egyptian writer and novelist, born in Alexandria. Bassiouney holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Department from Alexandria University, and an MA and PhD from Oxford University in Britain in “Linguistics.” Bassiouney also obtained a PhD in “Political Discourse Analysis” from the University of Oxford, where she taught.
