Abdo Khal is a Saudi writer and storyteller. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science from King Abdulaziz University. He worked as a journalist and co-edited the periodidcal Al-Rawi issued by the Jeddah Literary Club. He has written several collections of short stories and novels, many of which have been translated. His novel Tarmi Bi-Sharar won the 2008 International Booker Prize. He participated in many Arab festivals and won many awards.
