A South Korean diplomat born in Seoul, Kang Kyung-Wha holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Yonsei University. She held the position of Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations and worked as Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs before becoming Senior Adviser to the Secretary-General. She assumed the position of Foreign Minister of South Korea and recently visited the Kingdom of Bahrain, where she was introduced to the Shaikh Ibrahim Centre and its mission to promote various cultural endeavors.

Where memory is the house of culture and knowledge; where the original council, separated by a cultural sidewalk that connects Muharraq with the intellectuals and writers of the world. The house itself, located at the heart of the city, opens its doors to cultural production in the fields of thought, literature, politics, philosophy, culture and art.
