Through painting, drawing and installation Faika Al Hassan explores the traditional use of frankincense in Bahraini homes and families. Thanks to its aromatic and antiseptic properties, frankincense was used in perfumes and to deodorize homes and domestic linens. It was believed to protect the home from disease and evil spirits.
