Mai Al Moataz is an artist and designer who uses black and white film to produce photographs through a meticulous analog darkroom process, a deeply cathartic ritual. Her work is an exploration of dualities and paradoxes, absence and presence, where she uses time, space, light and chemistry to deconstruct her experiential universe. In her first solo exhibition, Al Moataz invites us into her world.
