Nidal Kassum is an Algerian astronomer. He received his Master’s and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego (United States). He spent long periods as a researcher at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. He has also conducted research at several major scientific centres in the United States of America and France. Since 2000, Dr. Kassum has worked at the American University of Sharjah (UAE), where he has served as Head of Physics, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Chairman of the University’s Board of Professors, and chaired several committees. He was invited to lecture at prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, Cornell, Wisconsin, Malaya, New York University in Abu Dhabi, and others around the world.
