Naseer Shamma is a renowned Iraqi musician and oud player, considered one of the most prominent Arab artists in the field of oud performance. He was born in the city of Kut, Iraq, and graduated from the Institute of Musical Studies in Baghdad. Naseer Shamma is distinguished by his unique style of playing the oud, incorporating innovative techniques and blending tradition with modernity in his music. Beyond music, Shamma has established numerous cultural and humanitarian initiatives, including the “Arab Oud House” in Cairo and Abu Dhabi. These institutions aim to teach oud playing and preserve Arab musical heritage. He is also well known for his involvement in charitable and social activities.
