At the heart of the historic Bin Matar House, the artwork Inhabitant in Memory transforms the space into a contemporary visual and conceptual experience. It creates a dialogue with a place whose identity has been shaped by time, movement, and human presence. The work consists of a transparent, open, and permeable mesh structure that appears to transform as visitors move around and through it. Its dense grids form a sequence of passages, rooms, and architectural frameworks, none of which is ever entirely enclosed. This inhabitant carries within it the layers and memories of the place. Rather than appearing as a solid and permanent structure, it becomes a transient presence, inhabited by movement and continually reshaped by human interaction. The work invites us to reflect on how places preserve their memories—and on the traces that we, too, leave within them. Hours: Saturday-Thursday 9am-1pm and 4-7pm
