The Smile Orchestra was founded in 2016 by Maestro Catalin Montanaro and follows the model of 1940s swing bands, with a repertoire that revives the golden era of the Swing period. In recent years, the orchestra has performed successfully at important venues such as the Historical Museum of the Military Air Force in Bracciano, the neoclassical “Flavio Vespasiano” Theater in Rieti, and the Historic Diplomats’ Club in Rome, as well as at major events sponsored by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism. The orchestra also participates in International Jazz Day and various concerts around the world.
Where memory is the house of culture and knowledge; where the original council, separated by a cultural sidewalk that connects Muharraq with the intellectuals and writers of the world. The house itself, located at the heart of the city, opens its doors to cultural production in the fields of thought, literature, politics, philosophy, culture and art.
