William Sieghart is an arts entrepreneur and founder of National Poetry Day, the Forward Prize for Poetry and the Forward Arts Foundation. Recently appointed as Chair of the Henry Smith Charity, he has spearheaded social initiatives such as StreetSmart, which has raised over £12m to date for London’s homeless. He has authored a review on the future of British libraries, chaired the establishment of Somerset House as a hub for creatives, supplied poetry to the London 2012 Olympics and works tirelessly for peace in the Middle East.
