Hamoud Al-Sahoud is a Saudi writer and journalist, born in Riyadh. He is renowned for his books and articles that address social, cultural, and political issues. Al-Sahoud is known for his critical and analytical style in discussing topics, making him one of the prominent voices in Saudi journalism. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in political science, Hamoud Al-Sahoud worked in various Arab newspapers and magazines, where he wrote many articles and books covering social and cultural subjects. He has a deep appreciation for poetry and has explored it extensively, extracting the jewels from its meanings, and made poetry a beloved subject for the public.
When his soul left his body and this world, he left a house for poetry, a place for his things, and walls where the poetry he loved would remain. The Bahraini poet Ibrahim Al Arrayed, and all those who (followed) him in his literary journey and translated works, were retained by the Sheikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research in his city which he belonged, Manama. For it was the house of fame, as the first among the homes of cultural centers outside the city of Muharraq.
