Al-Hadra Choir aims to preserve and promote the Egyptian Sufi heritage, one of the most important components of the country’s religious folklore, from local gatherings and town squares and mosques to theaters. The choir was founded by the artist Nour Najeh and began performing in 2015 in some of the most famous theaters and art houses in Egypt, as well as festivals and international artistic events in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and others. In order to bridge the cultural gap between the artform and other different musical styles, the choir worked with other prominent artists and bands in Egypt.
