Born in 1947 in the city of Dura southwest of Hebron, Nabil Amr studied at the University of Damascus and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Law and received an honorary doctorate from the International Informatics Academy. A former minister in the Palestinian Authority, he serves as an advisor to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for culture and media affairs and is a member of the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists.
The center widened its embrace of more friends and lovers of culture through the renovation of a new auditorium. This cultural space was founded and inaugurated and with the generous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and designed by international architect David Chiaverini of the PAD firm.
