Aisha Sultan is an Emirati writer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political sciences from the University of Sharjah. She served as director of political programming in Dubai TV from 2004-20012 and is the owner of Dar Waraq publishing house. She is a founding member of both the UAE Journalists Association in 2000 in which served as its first chairman and the UAE Human Rights Association. She is also a Board member of the Arab Journalism Prize and Dubai Press Club and a judge for the Arab Booker Prize for fiction. Her awards include Al-Owais Cultural Prize, the Middle East Prize for Outstanding Journalism, and Tareim Omran Prize for best newspaper column.
