Ayman Al-Otoom is a Jordanian poet and novelist, born in the village of Souf in Jerash Governorate. He received his education in Cairo, Souf, and Irbid, studied civil engineering at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, and later specialized in Arabic language, earning a PhD from the University of Jordan. His literary talent emerged early, and he was an active student leader and founder of literary clubs at various universities. He worked in teaching for over 25 years and wrote plays and novels that gained widespread acclaim. His works have been translated into several languages, with some novels reaching over sixty editions. In 2025, he joined a PhD program in Quranic exegesis at the Islamic Sciences University.
