The event is finished.

Sally Shalabi (storyteller), Hamza Al-Aqrabawi (storyteller), Sahar Khalifa Shteiwi (singer) and Sereen Halilah (nay) perform on the stage of the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre in a show entitled “Khair Ya Tair” (Speak, Oh bird!), an imagined journey to pre-1948 Palestine that follows the lives of two people who witnessed the forced Palestinians’ displacement. In collaboration with Al-Ruwah Studies and Research Foundation, Dr. Faiha Abdulhadi and the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre for Culture and Research, the work presents stories recounted by Palestinians about their forced displacement from Palestine in 1948 and 1967 accompanied by folk and patriotic songs inspired by these tales.

Where memory is the house of culture and knowledge; where the original council, separated by a cultural sidewalk that connects Muharraq with the intellectuals and writers of the world. The house itself, located at the heart of the city, opens its doors to cultural production in the fields of thought, literature, politics, philosophy, culture and art.
