In this concert, the oud becomes a storyteller, weaving tales through its strings drawn from a rich musical memory, retold in a contemporary language alive with creativity and reflection, performed by oud virtuoso Saad Jawad. The evening’s program brings together original compositions written specifically for the oud alongside new arrangements of works from our authentic musical heritage. Here, tradition is presented not as a preserved relic, but as a living entity—capable of renewal and rediscovery. “The Storyteller Oud” is a sonic journey through string and rhythm—an evening that celebrates the oud as both composer and narrator, an instrument capable of distilling a long history into a single note, and conveying an entire story through one string.
