Yasser Al-Atrash is a prominent Syrian poet, critic, journalist, presenter of cultural television programs, and a respected member of the Arab Writers Union. Al-Atrash has been active in the literary field since 1994, publishing numerous works, including the critical book Lies We Love. His contributions to poetry, children’s literature, and literary creativity have earned him several prestigious awards.Al-Atrash has also played a significant role in literary circles as a member of various arbitration committees for poetry awards and festivals, and he is well-known for his participation in literary events across the Arab world. In addition to his literary achievements, he is an opinion writer and editor for several media websites, with a substantial body of articles, reports, and investigations published in both Arab and international periodicals. Since November 2018, Al-Atrash has been the host of the cultural program “Connected Pronouns” on Syria TV, further showcasing his dedication to the cultural and literary landscape.
When his soul left his body and this world, he left a house for poetry, a place for his things, and walls where the poetry he loved would remain. The Bahraini poet Ibrahim Al Arrayed, and all those who (followed) him in his literary journey and translated works, were retained by the Sheikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research in his city which he belonged, Manama. For it was the house of fame, as the first among the homes of cultural centers outside the city of Muharraq.
