The cultural houses that make up the Sheikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research are not just places faithful to memory, but rather ongoing industry for future ones well, as in the case of Iqraa’ Children’s Library in the old city of Muharraq.

This very small, intimate house, like an alleyway that runs among the old houses, is a space of dreams and passion for small children to have their own space within this project. In the heart of this library and in the beautiful spaces where little ones are enveloped together with books in both Arabic and English, in addition to special computer programs.

The first library of this branch has been restored with the support of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, and opened in the year 2006 to be space culturally intended for children, for the development of their relationship to the written word and to broaden their horizons in various fields such as science and arts.
