The Green Corner

The green corner carries an artistic, aesthetic and natural symbolism that is part of the Year of Zayed initiative and represents his passion for beauty in the form of gardens, farms, and natural landscapes, as well as his belief that homelands are where the heart belongs, not a mere geographical spot.

Here in Muharraq’s vertical garden, this passion is manifested in the Green Corner, which houses an archival library dedicated to preserving and restoring documents, books, and paintings that trace the history of the art of Bahrain, as well as a separate library focused on natural and environmental sciences, green cultural landscapes, and agricultural development.
