And on the door to the city of Muharraq, these green gates, are a splendid mix of human and divine design.

Beautiful plants form a gateway to the ancient city, the address of its beauty, a symbol of its ability to flourish and grow despite the desert air. It is that this world of plants was designed and carried out by the French that evoked the memory of the old environment of Bahrain with its rich oases.

This open vertical garden, the first of its kind in the Middle East, was supported by GPIC. The garden contains 200 species of plants, mostly from subtropical and desert climates around world such as the Mediterranean basin areas, the Middle East, Australia and South Africa.

What sets it apart is its perennial renewal is its ability to embody an integrated life, where people can watch seasons of prosperity and growth.

It is an artistic symbol, environmentally sustainable, of the harmony between nature, man and the city.
