Suha Shoman, an artist and founder of Darat al Funun, has championed Arab art since 1988. Her paintings are inspired by Petra, while her videos explore themes of time and exile. Her works have been exhibited globally, earning her prestigious awards like the “la Chaire de l’IMA” in 2019 and the “Chevalier des Arts et Lettres” in 2004. Darat al Funun also received The Jerusalem Award in 2018.
