NAOKO KIKUCHI learned since her little age by her grandmother and mother, then she took lessons and was Sophia University student in Tokyo, where she joined world tour as member of Sawai Kazue Koto Ensemble. Naoko graduated from Japanese National Broadcasting Company School for Perform of Traditional Japanese Instruments and took master license as highest point. Her activity, playing new pieces, commissioning to composers for koto, collaborate with other field of musicians and artists (dance, drama), are very wide. Naoko has a large repertoire; she plays classic koto music, classic chamber music, modern and contemporary, improvisation.
