Besides holding a PhD in Arabic music and being a professor of Arabic singing and serving as director of the Arabic band at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Ghada Shbeir is also a researcher, singer and publisher of Arab heritage focusing on spreading traditional Syriac and Maronite hymns. Shbeir toured a large number of countries with her art, becoming known for performing without musical accompaniment. For several years, she highlighted the annual celebration of the founding of the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre.
