Her Excellency Mrs. Kang Kyung-wha is a South Korean diplomat who served as the first Foreign Minister of South Korea under President Moon Jae-in from 2017 to 2021 as well as the first woman nominated for and appointed to the position. Mrs. Kang is also the first Korean woman who held several high-level positions in the United Nations. In 2018, she joined the official South Korean delegation for the inter-Korean summit and visited Pyongyang, the North Korean capital.
