An Algerian journalist and writer based in Beirut, Fadhila El-Farouk writes a weekly column in the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh. She also prepares and presents a weekly cultural program on books and writers on Al-Arabi television channel. She holds a Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Constantine, Algeria, and has many published works, as well as studies and researches about various literary fields. She has worked and continues in the print media, radio and television, and conducts workshops and lectures on Arab women issues, the reality of culture in the Arab world and the characteristics of narratives in the modern Arab novel.
The center widened its embrace of more friends and lovers of culture through the renovation of a new auditorium. This cultural space was founded and inaugurated and with the generous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and designed by international architect David Chiaverini of the PAD firm.
