A Kuwaiti journalist and writer, former editor-in-chief of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), a graduate of Kuwait University’s College of Economics and Political Science, she held the position of editor-in-chief at KUNA wrote a regular column for the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas. In addition, Al-Ahmad presented number of television talk shows and documentaries and is active in the volunteering fields in volved in humanitarian causes. Her articles were published in a three-volume collection entitled The Ring of the Pen, which was also the name of her column.

From the idea of a house that opens its door to the cultures and sciences of the peoples, to the house whose owner used to write and gather what happens in the place and outside it … the house of Abdullah Al Zayed was the first to found journalism in Bahrain with a modern press and library. He was also the first to open a cinema. He was the only editor who worked passionately to publish the weekly Bahrain Newspaper, and even encouraged aspirants to write about literature and culture.
