The event is finished.

A Moroccan singer, composer and poet from Fez, Nabila Maan studied music and composition at the Higher Institute of Music and learned to play the guitar. Her interest in music began since her childhood, a passion which prompted her to pursue her studies and research in the Andalusian music, Grenadian tarab, and malhoun genres. As a contemporary musician, she puts a new global twist on traditional Moroccan music which incorporates elements of Andalusian music, malhoun, jazz and world music. She released her first album The World in 2005 to widespread acclaim, and at the age of 19, she became the youngest Arab-African singer to perform on the Olympia Theatre in Paris. During her career, she released five albums, the last of which was Dalal Al-Andalus, which won two awards in the Morocco Music Awards followed by a global tour.
