A Syrian singer who grew up in Aleppo before moving to Sweden with her family, Yunan worked as an activist in the field of human rights and social assistance through the International Red Cross. She left Sweden in 2010 to study social sciences, economics, and Business at the University of Glasgow. In 2015, she decided to become a singer and moved to Beirut to pursue this dream. She released her first album in 2017 released her first album, Between the Two of Us at Sea, and her second album, Stories of the Heart, in 2019, and has toured the world with her music.
