Art Exhibition 2 December – 24 January 2019 “A constant image reappears in my mind. I can almost feel the pressure of the waves beating against these helpless bodies, the angry winds that move people around in the most random manner. Humanity at its most fragile state. This body of work pays tribute to every soul that left us, and everyone who managed to survive. I have no power in changing their fate; I have no power to take away their pain and suffering. My only power comes through the work I can produce. This is my personal ode to an ongoing human catastrophe of people awaiting to determine their fate.” Hala Al Khalifa 2018 Hours: Saturday-Thursday 9am-1pm and 4-7pm

If the sea had a memory, his memory would be rain… a voice far from life has survived, for he is as all those who leave for the sea one day in the life of men, and return: body sounds, as shapes of music and song, then the sea carries their possessions to land, and says: These are signals of survival.
