Mehrez holds a master’s degree in Islamic Art and Architecture from the American University in Cairo and has published several research papers at Oxford University. A faculty member of the College of Tourism in Helwan University, her interest in the endangered Egyptian heritage prompted her to drastically shift course and devote 40 years of her life to collecting and studying and documenting unique Egyptian fashion and jewelry pieces. She is currently working on publishing her own collection.
