A British-Iraqi media personality and analyst, Mina Al-Oraibi holds an MA in Contemporary History in 2004 from the British College of London and a BA in History in 2002 from the same university. She also completed Executive Program for Leadership in the 21st Century from Harvard University in the United States. Al-Oraibi has been editor-in-chief of The National newspaper in the UAE since July 2017 and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Iraq – Sulaymaniyah. She began her career in journalism in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper in 2005, where she covered British and European affairs and international conferences, then took the position of director of the newspaper’s office in Washington and held the position of assistant editor-in-chief of Al-Sharq Al-Awsat in the United Kingdom. Al-Oraibi was named as one of the Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum in 2009.
