Iraqi oud player Saad Jawad was born in Iraq in 1973. He graduated from Baghdad’s Institute of Music Studies with distinction in 1997, in which he taught oud while still in his junior year. He then worked as an oud teacher for several music ensembles and musical institutes, the most recent of which was the Bahrain Music Institute, where he trained the up-and-coming oud instrumentalists. He also founded “Musicians Without Borders” in the Kingdom of Bahrain, a band which performed many shows both locally and abroad.
